Seems to be a thing now on DU - Is this what the site is promoting: cops are bad, beware of cops, cops are not to be trusted?

1) Bad cops are fascist, suck ass, and a bane on society.
2) A good cop who doesn’t stop a bad cop is a bad cop
3) Fuck “giving it a rest”. A hair stylist gets more training than a cop, and doesn’t have a license to kill me.

If you trust a cop to have your best interests at heart, you are sadly mistaken. Police departments are a magnet for bullies.

I contend that there are no "good" cops, because if there were they would purge their ranks from the bullies instead of forming a blue circle around them. The police can regain my support when they police themselves first.

Just curious. I've never heard an objection to a bad lawyer story, or a bad teacher story, or a bad politician story, or even a bad mother story.

What makes bad cops protected?

Sure, not all cops are bad, but those that are deserve no self censorship, imho.

if the first response is an observation that is trying to distract from the racism, fascism and just racial hate in the hearts of a lot of cops. "Protect and Serve"? Yeah, I can imagine who's protected and who is served in America today. Especially since trump gave so many sick, sick individuals the carte blanche to act out their fearful racist fantasies.
