(63,896 posts)I was thinking about those family members who were involved in defending the Capitol that infamous day. And those who lost their lives, and after 2 years there have been arrests, convictions and imprisonment. But none of those who are still in the House or Senate have been charged with any crimes and are still walking around freely. Disgusting Deplorables.
And only 1 Repig joined Democrats on the Capitol steps to remember that horrible day Jan 6th, 2021.

(205,651 posts)So may of those who stormed the Capitol that day have been identified, charged, tried, convicted and jailed. But what about their "leader" who called them there? He's not only still walking free, but able to still hold his "rallies" and sound off with the same anti-democratic diatribes, attempting to inspire even more, not to mention grift contributions!
And you're right, his supporters are still serving in Congress, and one of them was just elected Speaker last night and took the opportunity to thank him!

(63,896 posts)SMH all day about this past week. And how these terrorists want to burn everything down. Plus I don't even want to watch the news to see the media elevating people Boebert, or Gaetz or Marjorie "ugly" Taylor. ( Or is the media doing this now??) All in for greed and fame and screw the American people.

(205,651 posts)Not to mention that they're totally unqualified, promote violence and supported the insurrection to overthrow the government. They're dangerous and need to be stopped, but their unprecedented and outrageous antics are deemed newsworthy. At least if we know what they're up to, that means that the Office of Congressional Ethics and DOJ know, too.
