Robbery is not a death penalty crime, not even armed robbery. You hand over the $$, they go away, and the video cameras allow the cops to track the robber down in a lot of cases and haul his sorry ass to jail to think his life choices over.

This joker was the type who's just itching to use that gun for its intended purpose, and that;s not shooting at paper targets. The robber was leaving the store. This was not justified by anything but rage, I don't care how stupid the laws in Texas are.

5. If the guy had just walked in and robbed the cashier I think it'd be shaky

But this dude came in pointing his gun at everyone ... so this shooting seems fairly well justified in my mind.

Not everyone can be as cool as Jules at the diner in Pulp Fiction.

The fact it was a toy gun is immaterial I'd imagine. Esp. in Texas.

Dude got just what he asked for. You want to threaten people with a gun and rob them? Well then you better be prepared to die for that shit. That’s what’s on the line any time you pull an armed robbery.

And in Texas no less. You have to assume everyone is armed there.

four times more likely to get you injured and five times more likely to be killed if you resist with a firearm but Macho Man kills someone with a toy gun.

I understand the feeling that SOME people want to defend a few $$ at the expense of a human life but it's a stupid and costly move.

How did the shooter deal with finding out the VICTIM of gun violence was actually not armed and how will he cope with the outcome of taking someone's life?

Was it worth it for a few $$ when the perp was leaving and no one was injured?

But then guns make you all powerful and all knowing real life not withstanding.

8. No way of knowing what the ultimate intent of the robber was

There have been incidents where the robber killed people for no reason.
A reasonable person would assume that any robber intends to shoot if he
is pointing a gun at people - as this guy was - wildly pointing it at everyone.
So, seems justified under the circumstances. I would very much like to
live in a gun free country - but we don't, and that is reality.

avoid injury. You are 4 times more likely to be injured if you resist and 5 times more likely if you use a gun to resist.

Just give the robber a few bucks and survive or make an ass out of your macho self and get hurt.

It's just raw numbers and reality.

Sorry if it conflicts with gun mentality.
