'He gave away everything': McGovern on McCarthy's concessions to become speaker - All In - MSNBC

Congressman Jim McGovern: “Kevin McCarthy gave away everything, including his dignity, in this process. Gave it away to this fringe group of people who tried to overturn our election, who cheered on the insurrectionists, who represent the most intolerant wing of the Republican Party.” - Aired on 01/09/2023.

We actually had one when I was a kid, but my mother kept it on the top shelf of her closet so we wouldn't break the damn thing...

It was supposed to belong to my brother and I but we always fought over it so mom hid it in her closet then my older sister took it with her to college!

And my mother probably figured we'd break it. I have no sisters, just my brother and we fought over most things.

Never really got along for any length of time but I also have four sisters. We waited until we were adults to not get along.

The thing is, he's agoraphobic, so he either sends for everything or goes to the Stewart's (local chain of gas stations/convenience stores specializing in dairy) which is the closest store. So I bring him groceries every week though I have to get there before 7pm or he's gone to bed! Kinda the opposite of me...

It's already been explained (Lawrence O'Donnell) that the Democrats are going to gave to use creative, yet legal, ways to work around the non-functioning House.
