Chat w/Victor Shi, Gen Z political activist & youngest 2020 Biden delegate, on how to engage Gen Z
It's probably a fair observation to say that members of my generation - the the Baby Boomers - have made a bit of a mess of our government and its institutions. We have a former president who led an insurrection in an attempt to unlawfully retain the power of the presidency. Elected officials were just sworn into Congress who had asked Donald Trump for pardons for their conduct in connection with the insurrection. We have a Department of Justice which (thus far) has failed to charge a single criminal politician for any of the crimes they inarguable committed.
Accordingly, American will soon be in the hands of younger generations to try to fix what the older generations were unable to fix.
This is where Generation Z political activists like Victor Shi come in. Victor first got involved in politics as an 8th graders. At age 17, he was the youngest elected delegate for Joe Biden. I spoke with Victor recently about how he got involved in politics at such a young age, how he inspires his generation to get involved, and how the older generations can best motivate the younger generations to get involved in the fight for decent, honest and ethical government. - Glenn Kirschner - 01/09/2023.
