They finally shut down the January 6th Committee, but they can't erase the evidence that they uncovered.

conflict of interest. I think these RWers are in a rude awakening.

Meanwhile, the USA will suffer.

Wasn't Gym Jordan one of the suggested committee members until the Republicans got mad and decided not to participate? Scary thought, that would have gone nowhere - which of course was the point...

"We do not comment on ongoing investigations. And, oh, by the way, Mr. Jordan, Mr. Perry, you are under arrest."

And we know that neither Garland - or Jack Smith! - are going to give anything away to those they're investigating until they're good and ready and have an airtight case. Not to mention, the January 6th Committee (which the culpable Republicans were not interested in participating with) has done a lot of the work and Jack Smith has already read it all.

I can't see them giving anybody in congress anything about ongoing active investigations. This is a violation of the separation of powers. But guilty insurrectionists are going to try to escape accountability, regardless.

But that won't prevent those who are the most likely targets - meaning guilty - from getting in front of news cameras and sounding off and complaining, getting those who still support them all riled up - exactly like TFG. And we know from his post-speech interview that McCarthy is still listening to him - and inexplicably proud of it.

by these aiders and abetters and accessories after the fact.

When Jack Smith indicts them, he will smash their delusion of "weaponization" and clarify for them what "rule of law" means.
