as places they could meet people and dance, light entertainment with no commitment because they already had plenty of commitments to meet. It sounds like the places in question drew an older crowd, widows and widowers, so it was especially sad.

I'm glad the asshole killed himself and saved us the expense of a trial and incarceration.
