The police officers could have used a nightstick or PR-24 baton to bat the blade, which would knock it out of Anthony Lowe Jr's hand.

The police officers could have simply exhausted him, before taking him before a judge.

That police officer who pulled the trigger has to live with that murder for the rest of his life.
