Related: About this forumClearly Annoyed Trump Mocks Nikki Haley's Presidential Bid - Ring of Fire
Donald Trump is not happy that Nikki Haley is preparing to announce a presidential bid, even though the entire world saw it coming from a mile away. Trump made a post on Truth Social that was clearly a swipe at Haley, saying that he understands that she needs to "follow her heart, not her honor." Haley had allegedly told Trump she wouldn't run against him, and now he's mad that she is. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

So this week we learned that, uh, Nikki Haley, the former UN ambassador and former governor of South Carolina, will in fact be running for president. We are going to be getting a grand announcement soon, and Haley will be the, uh, second official Republican running for president. And of course, Donald Trump is off. I think he's a combination of actually off and scared. You see, last weekend before all this news about Nikki Haley came out, uh, Trump said this. He said, she called me and said she'd like to consider it. And I said, you should do it. I talked to her for a little while. I said, look, you know, go by your heart if you wanna run. But he basically made it sound like, yeah, she ain't gonna do it. You know, I, I talked to her, she doesn't wanna run against me. And that is what Nikki Haley has pretty much even said on the record, like, I don't wanna run against him. And then we find out this week, she's like, no, I'm definitely gonna run against him. So after all this news came out, and after his statement from this past Saturday, Donald Trump then came out on truth social and attacked Nikki Haley saying this, Nikki has to follow her heart, not her honor. She should definitely run. It's kind of a, kind of a backhanded compliment. Is that like, oh, follow your heart, because apparently you're not gonna follow Your Honor.
Not exactly Donald Trump's, you know, most bombastic attack against somebody, but definitely an attack like you have no honor, is basically what he is saying here. Here's the fun part about Nikki Haley being the individual who is now in the ring. The person Trump has to attack is how do you attack her? Because you picked her to be the ambassador to the un. So if you wanna attack her record, if you wanna say that she was bad at her job, that actually comes back to you. So that's a difficult situation. And I think honestly, Nikki Haley had to have realized that. Like she has to understand like, well, wait a minute. If he comes out and says, I was bad at my job, I was bad at this. I didn't do a good job as governor, then I can come back and be like, then why did you hire me?
If you think I'm so bad, why'd you hire me? Or are you just saying that because you're scared? I'm gonna take your votes? Like she's already got the upper hand on that particular issue. So that's pretty great for her. And of course, Nikki Haley's been out on Twitter this week, you know, trying to drum up some culture war Bs. She sent out a tweet that simply said, C r RT is un-American. Like, that's it. Unprompted outta nowhere. C r t is un-American. And this was before her announcement that she was gonna run for president. So yeah, she's, she's focusing these things. She's, she's an idiot. So we're gonna see
More stupid things from her on Twitter. We're gonna see more attacks from Donald Trump. And now that the, the seal has been broken, right now that there is a second challenger to Donald Trump, watch how quickly the other dominoes start to fall. I guarantee you, by the end of the month of February, we will have three or four total people running for president on the Republican side. Nikki Haley is the one who took that first step. We know there are plenty others out there who wanna make that jump. They were just afraid to be the first one to do it. Now that the plunge has been taken, more Republicans will very quickly declare their candidacy as well.
