(103,805 posts)That was an odd pretzel.
I don't even know where to start. Maybe I could invite him to come have a look at what he isn't seeing.
And that looks like a Wild West Pizza (of West Yellowstone) shirt!

(56,895 posts)he is so on point. I totally relate to this on several levels. love the point about left techniques of co-ops and associations. have always got a kick out of the fact that one of the larger and best employment in the area also provides the electricity so many depend on. co-op.
Isn't that socialism?
I was never a cattle rancher, but I did grow up in a small town with a cattle industry so I did pick up some farm and ranch wisdom along the way before I was urbanized. Beau's message resonated with me also and he is also correct with getting involved with causes that may not receive the full blessing of leftists, liberals, or moderates. How are we supposed to convey our message if we isolate ourselves to only those who are in lockstep with us? The way that we convey our message to those who don't agree with us takes a more subtle approach--we live lives that are exemplary with empathy and sympathy for others (e.g., President Biden).
I'm glad that you found the video interesting. Beau does relate to a diverse audience which explains his popularity.

Beau was right on the money about how far left they are without knowing it.
He was also right about coal, as long as we need steel, we'll need coal. We just can't go back to the filthy air we had when everybody heated their houses with the wretched stuff. I'd rather wear my coat indoors than go back to that.
I live in a wild west state that knows all this stuff, which is why most of the state is Democratic.
