(43,169 posts)Joe is governing, Republicans are trying to cram the populace to fit their greed, anger, hatred. Opportunity abounds, the workplace is fluid even as it becomes remote or flexible. Once Republicans lose their war on tax policy and the economy doesn't collapse, there just is no reason for the Republican Party to exist. Out biggest problems are in Florida, Texas, and the courts, but I see no upside for the GOP, they have already maxed out.

He would have sat there stone-faced if Joe Biden had said that the State of the Union is weak, or the State of the Union has gone to hell in a basket, or that the State of the Union is Puerto Rico (or some other Trump-style non-sequitur).
There is NO description of the State of the Union that Biden could have offered that would have made McCarthy stand, or even clap, or even smile. That says just about all anyone has to know about todays Republican Party.

That also tells us all we need to know about him - and about the Republican party, since he's now their leader in the House. Not to mention, his brand of Republicans support insurrectionists, those who attempted to overthrow the union that the president was referring to.
