I've been to Paris often but my best memory of the Grand Dame
is the night I passed by her in a riverboat on the Seine, the reflections from the water reaching and dancing up to touch her.
Brought tears to my eyes the day the spire fell; it was almost a physical punch to the heart.
I haven’t been back since the fire but I have kept track and watched the restoration process. Such brave and dedicated people doing a labor of love.
