Consumers act rationally. It's cheaper today so buy it now before the price goes up. Money loses purchasing power over time.

Money they received from Covid relief is long gone on rent and food. The scammers like business owners who received millions are the the ones causing the inflation as they have the money. Why would the prescription be to put people out of work???? Now the industry that is hurting is lending and housing. No one will sell, no one can afford to buy at these inflated prices and high interest rates. They no longer qualify. I also think they should build housing developments that are $250,000 or less that can only be purchased by a first time homebuyer. Young people can not afford to buy because lower dollar houses get scooped up with cash buyer investors.

remember that "inflation" to the corporate/wealthy does not mean the same thing as price increases.

They are FINE with price increases since they caused it to get more profit. What they call "inflation" is the demand for higher wages. That they cannot tolerate.

Cant remember the fat cat caught on tape but he basically said price increase (inflation) is GOOD since it forces people back to work for lower wages it keep the "real" inflation threat down: paying more to the workers.

exactly. Individuals spent that long ago. Certain businesses got Covid relief that should not have and I think some states still have Covid relief money they haven’t used yet. I thought they had to give that back long ago if it hadn’t been used by now. I agree with your thoughts on housing too.
