Related: About this forumThe Daily Show: Tucker Carlson's Face Coach
Some people think Tucker was born with a face that looks like an inbred boat shoe, but there's actually a lot of hard work behind it. Meet Gavin Bancroft (Michael Kosta), Tucker Carlson's face coach.

(2,047 posts)has seemed more comfortable each night. Unfortunately he only has one more night.
And what was with the trumpster calling Michelle Obama Michael, I mean I know that's a thing but does she not have mirrors in her house?

(258,716 posts)And I agree, but maybe it was initially sticking him with Lindsey Graham? That would certainly leave me shell shocked... even if they are "friends."
And I posted both his monologue and his guest (Heather McGhee) much earlier since the videos were available early, but I figure that you'll be watching the show. I used to post The Daily Show regularly, but since Trevor left, it's been hit or miss. The other host that I really liked was Wanda Sykes, along with Al, she was the funniest, no big surprise.

(2,047 posts)that you posted with Wanda Sykes. She was very good but I always like her.

(258,716 posts)Which is a series (before TFG) about 4 Republican senators who share a house in D.C. It's a comedy and Wanda Sykes is in it, as is Amy Sedaris, and John Goodman is one of the senators. One of the senators' chief of staff is a gay woman so Rachel Maddow makes an appearance. It was pretty funny, especially since it took place long before the TFG-inspired RW nonsense that we're dealing with now. BTW, apparently there some frat movie by the same name, ran across it when I looked it up - it's not that one.

(302 posts)Upon interviewing someone(anyone), his(Tuckems) lips are moving, as sound is pulsating from his mouth; however, when he stops speaking to allow for a response by a guest, his(Tuckems) face 'falls-to-blank', as if his facial muscles are completely drained of energy whereupon they totally relax and form that full-tilt 'deer-in-the-headlights' appearance.
Am I alone in seeing this...OR, have others noticed this strangeness as well (?).

(258,716 posts)For most of us, our facial expressions reflect how we're feeling and reacting - mad, sad, glad or scared - but with Tucker, he doesn't have that option - no wonder he needs a "face coach." So, it's like you said, he's trained himself to have no expression at all.

(302 posts)No, I would not be able to ever trust a face like that.
And you are correct, his 'resting' face is 'Incredibly Creepy', indeed.

(6,619 posts)I was disappointed the face coach didn't mention this.

(33,082 posts)I really did LOL.
My son once told me that one of his classmates had "a stupid face." I could not grasp what he meant. Tucker is the very definition of "a stupid face."
