1. So does freedom of speech -- insults -- prevail over Judge Merchan's protective order or not.

There's no report that the judge has even heard about these insults. Insults are not threats. But they do poison the public perception of the courts and justice system.

Is Trump really free to say all that about the justice system and those in it?

not the way crime bosses work. Keep in mind, he already told his cheering masses to go to the Capitol and fight like Hell, with no repercussions to date. Trump will continue to walk a fine line this side of legality and hope to inspire his knuckle draggers to break bad on his behalf. You have to wonder though, if the judge and prosecutor will continue to play the rope out to Trump until he has enough to hang himself. One day, in the presence of his cheering crowds, the spirit is liable to overcome the orange bastard and he will make a mistake that will jail him. We can continue to hope.

that Trump isn't poisoning the NY jury pool, saying what he says IN Florida.

Your point enough about enough rope is well taken. I suppose all we can hope for is that his lawyers lose control of his mouth and unwittingly let him run it into gag order territory with this judge. One would think his lawyers would appreciate that a gag order would actually help make their jobs easier.

Blanche won't just accede to the judge without challenge.

probably at the urging of Daddykins or his idiot lawyers, but that will be hard to prove. His sons, after all, havie given us ample proof that they are, in fact, nitwits who would do anything to protect their inherit..er, their daddy.
