(2,286 posts)2. Reminds me of the Father Ted episode
Where Ted visits another priest, who invites him up into the attic to view his memorabilia - completely full of Nazi stuff, a copy of Mein Kampf, etc. including an older priest with delusions of Nazi grandeur.
Absolutely hilarious - but now... These Clarence the cross-eyed justice and his pals are live action role playing that episode...
EDIT: now on reflection I should make this full disclaimer. I collect midcentury space memorabilia which includes soviet era stuff like an original 1961 poster celebrating Gagarin's flight, etc.
As youth I was very much in to scale modelling and wargaming. I constructed a 1:5 scale (in 1/72nd scale models) unit of the 21'st panzer division, a Soviet tank army, and a US mechanised brigage, British para's, etc. it was HUGE. My friend and I have years of enjoyment in the hobby. But I never thought to collect the actual stuff. We also had a rule that we would never paint up any SS units.
