They must know this will not stand.

And women aren't the only ones afraid, doctors are, too - they could go to prison. And this has got to backfire big time - doctors will no longer practice in certain states and women will no longer choose to live there.

women and young families especially can find a way to move out of states like Idaho. And good luck to firms trying to recruit bright young people to move to these states — those with sense and any choice at all will refuse to relocate there.

4. And Florida has gotten more dangerous for more reasons than heath care and gun policy

Climate change is causing more severe storms and flooding, so many lost their homes this year. Given all the scary aspects of Florida it will cease to be a favorite vacation destination.

Where would I go and then no, I’m gonna stay and fight. Just posted on a thread where the DUer just moved to AZ…definitely a maybe 🤔. It would be out of the south even tho my family is all here and that’s for certain. I’m 76 so I gotta get serious while I’m still young and healthy.

6. I've visited Florida 4 times in my life and I have good memories

My grandmother used to spend winters there so we went to spend holidays with her, the first was with my aunt, uncle and cousin for Easter vacation when I was 8, then twice with my parents and brother for Christmas after that. We had a lot of fun, my grandmother would take us kids for walks on the beach in the mornings - but then any time spent with my grandmother was a good time.

And she did switch to Arizona when I was in high school and that was an adventure, too - a much different place than I'd ever been (home is Northeastern New York). My Dad drove us all over to see the sights, that was a good time, too.

I'm no fan of the winters and the snow here in the North Country, but this is home. And we're experiencing climate change as well. It's not unusual for us to get snow as late as April - but today it was above 80!

Very different from Florida where I live and all my family are here but there are times..like now with all the restrictions and problems that won’t get taken care of. Home insures leaving the state and ghosting homeowners..sever weather conditions getting more violent and the wrecking ball this governor is taking to our institutions. It’s very discouraging at times

8. You might consider visiting again and seeing if there's a place where you could feel comfortable

Like some place that you visited with your father. My grandmother was in Florence, she traveled with a friend who had been a neighbor when their kids were growing up and we knew her family, too. And my Nana made friends wherever she went, the guy who lived next door in Arizona took us for rides in the desert and I still have a table that he made.

And if you have family who feels the same way, especially about the climate issue, they might be willing to go with you. Growing up, I lived all over Northern New York because of my father's job - then I was sent to summer camp in Vermont and to boarding school in Massachusetts, so I am not a fan of moving.
