(34,857 posts)A baler would compress this dude beyond recognition.
AtheistCrusader
(33,982 posts)Complete hoax. the bale would have fallen apart entirely, if the machine hadn't applied sufficient force to also kill him dead.
Speck Tater
(10,618 posts)The amount of pressure used to compress a bale would squash a human body flat. And the trim knife would have cut his head off.
There was probably another person hidden in the wagon with the straw suit already on.
All you have to do is watch a real baler in action to realize the baling mechanism was not turned on.

(12,504 posts)This is the Sunday night DU contribution to "Fox & Friends", which would probably show this as real tomorrow morning if people like you didn't come along and apply logic and stuff and screw up the Plan.

(8,209 posts)It is funny! Bunch of serious people up thread just want to pick everything a part. It was meant to be funny. Nobody really insinuated it was real.
AtheistCrusader
(33,982 posts)There's nothing about the video that warns anyone that it is a fake, and that attempting it will kill you in real life.

(57,081 posts)don't know this is a trick? Its a hysterically funny piece, and I hope we don't thin the herd by influencing anyone to try this at home.
AtheistCrusader
(33,982 posts)and watches the video in that context, is it still funny?

(22,656 posts)the definition of humor "one" has and whether or not "one" laughed, I think? N would have to equal more than twenty for me to read the research and I would prefer a three way analysis... and you?
AtheistCrusader
(33,982 posts)I actually found the video a bit offensive. It plays on a stereotype (dumb drunk farmer hick).
I know a lot of farmers. Not a one of them is dumb (though a couple do drink). You pretty much can't survive as an independent farmer and be dumb. (and every last one of them I know is a true-blue democrat, but that might be a PacNW thing)
So, as with any play on stereotypes, I tend to take a dim view of it from the start.
