Is it possible that over decades of 'seasoning' (thank you, NRA) Republicanism has conflated itself with Christianity? I can think of no other reason for the dread cry, "God and guns!" Did I misunderstand that part in the New Testament and it really read, "And the Romans came to arrest The Christ, but Jesus spake, saying, Go ahead, Pete, and kill those Romans, I do not wish to be crucified today! GOD AND SWORDS, GOD AND SWORDS!" It isn't that Republicans cannot define woke. It's that they can't, knowing they are describing Jesus Christ. You know, free medical, free food, free housing... you know, compassion towards their weird neighbors. Everything Christ commanded of them is woke. One might go so far as to say Christ may have been the original woke representative, and it would destroy their aims to admit it. As a matter of fact, the only example of violence I can remember Jesus doing was in the Temple against men like Donald J. Trump. Yes?
Thank you,
D.Nightshade

He was not a citizen, pretty sure he was not allowed to bear arms (no 2nd amendment in Roman Palestine). But even if he had been, how does a dude assault and maim a Roman soldier and not be cut down on the spot by the rest of the squad? You just don't let people get away with that shit, and you sure don't stand around and let the guy you're arresting lecture him on why he shouldn't have done it.

... and that "True Love" for one's neighbor means to correct them and guide them away from their sinful behavior, not facilitating it. He also forgets that Christianity is not just an "opinion," it's the Truth, and that "True Love" again absolutely requires the "Christian" to bring his neighbors to Jesus (and thus save them from eternal flame), by force if necessary. Although most of them don't talk publicly about that latter, probably because they lack access to sufficient force.

These people will never in a million years admit to "hating" anyone or anything, no matter how hateful their conduct is, because they will always claim that they are concerned for the Life Hereafter, which being eternal is much more important than any little inconveniences one might suffer in the present life. Well, anyway, more important so long as those inconveniences are being suffered by someone else, and not them personally.

It's hard to watch every video and listen to every podcast out there, but this one is pretty special. Not that the people who need to "hear" it will "hear" it, but I will be forwarding this one around.

Beau is a pretty special guy.

Thanks for posting.
