2. They conveniently ignore that part of the second amendment

On their own, they are not a militia and we've seen over and over exactly how "unregulated" they are!

I’ve yet to see the first half of the second amendment tattooed on any trump supporters arm. And the freaking amendment is only one sentence long.

4. I interpret the "well regulated militia" to be the same as today's military

Where they do issue guns, for use in time of war, and they also provide training! So these "militia" supporters can support the second amendment by signing up!

Because when the founding fathers wrote the second amendment we didn’t have much of a militia and private citizens were needed for our defense. Yeah you have a right to keep and bear Arms BECAUSE..the first half of the amendment. BUT you can’t hide behind the second amendment and slaughter your fellow citizens by ambush. Among other things your actions are cowardly. The militia part doesn’t need cowards.
