I guess I’m not very smart (or patriotic) by conservative standards. I drink the beer I want to drink based on taste. And I’m free to do so, thanks Democrats.

Imagine a dumbass conservative miller light drinkers angst. For no apparent reason.

Beer companies are kinda infamous for their terrible marketing to anyone outside their core market. And for disingenuous marketing, like when they create entire advertising and sponsorship efforts toward marginalized groups but then primarily donate to Republicans as Anhauser-Busch (ie bud light) and Miller-Molson-Coors do.

An analysis of beer company marketing to women:

"Don’t look now, but the commodity beer industry is stumbling like it just drank six pints of its own product. In fact, the U.S. beer industry has declined for five years straight. And this is a problem that isn’t slowing down. Between October of 2018 and October of 2019 sales of domestic beer fell 4.6% in the United States.

This steady and unrelenting decline is what has led to the beer industry looking to the largely, ahem, untapped market of women. Not only do women represent a market segment that has historically gone underserved by the beer industry, but women now hold a staggering amount of buying power and make 70%-80% of spending decisions.

If there is an industry that is struggling to connect with women, it’s a fair assumption that the industry also struggles to hire women or promote them to positions of power. From fighting with brewing equipment that was designed with male workers in mind to being expected to work unreasonable hours that clash with women being primarily responsible for childcare, cooking and housework in many households, to dealing with the sexual harassment that can accompany spending time professionally in bars and pubs, the brewing industry isn’t an easy one for women to exist in. And to the savvy female consumer, it shows in the disconnect they may feel with beer brands. If brands don’t know how to market to women, it stands to reason that there probably aren’t many women in the room when marketing decisions are being made."

I think these companies are just trying to weed out the asshole customers aka white insecure fragile little incel boys. The comments on YouTube are so hilarious. They really think these companies are gonna go broke lol losing a couple billion is like losing a penny out of a pocket to us

They may have crunched the numbers and figured out that the positive impact of increased publicity and perhaps deliberate spite-the-right purchasing will outweigh the negative effect of incel toddler tantrums (especially since so many of the incel toddlers are stupid enough to buy product in order to destroy it).

The thing I find funniest about these boycotts: none of the people who are doing the boycotting would drink either Miller Lite or Bud Light in the first fucking place. No, no, for them it has to be Quadruple IPA that's been hopped so many times you can't taste anything but bitterness. So you got an IP address that on Twitter is bitching about how woke the big breweries are, on Quora is asking if there are any "non woke" breweries left, and then on some beer forum making the sex-in-a-canoe joke.

MAKE UP YOUR MINDS, ASSHOLES! You think we haven't noticed you haven't cracked open a Miller Lite since you were raiding the garage refrigerator at the age of 14?

A glossed over fact here though is that likely the actual brewers of the beer in many Mesopotamian cultures would have been slaves.
