New book 'Shadow Docket' explores Supreme Court's growing influence on American law - PBS NewsHour

A new book explores the Supreme Court's growing influence on the country through emergency actions on cases not on the official docket. For the past decade or so, the court has gotten involved in cases concerning big issues, often setting new principles without hearing arguments and without explaining their reasoning. John Yang discussed that with Stephen Vladeck, writer of "Shadow Docket." - Aired on 05/19/2023.

On the legislative, executive and judicial branch’s of government. Leading, governing, adjudicating and managing money. Those attributes require time and patience and an open mindedness and knowledge of a wide range of issues and budgets. Conservatives have no use for such tedium. They’d rather just point a gun and shoot. Whether in the White House, the Capitol or in the Supreme Court. Ya know, just like in shithole countries.

And I find it hard to believe that the current batch of Republicans can still manage to get any votes. They are doing nothing for constituents, who they were elected to represent. Their current attention and support is directed to a constituent of one - TFG.

To own the libs we are going to ruin your social security and Medicare and seriously damage our national defense. And mess with military retirees. And you all will continue to love us. right?

That brilliant orator and statesmen kev mccarthy said today - “We have to spend less.” Incredibly thought provoking and brilliant. A timeless treasure of intricate word smithing to go down in history like the Bismarck.

If trump were president, kev would have raised the debt limit to accommodate 50 years of conservative waist.

I’m no rocket scientist but I can figure out their candidates. It’s not that hard.
