The world's most famous shipwreck has been revealed as never seen before.
The first full-sized digital scan of the Titanic, which lies 3,800m (12,500ft) down in the Atlantic, has been created using deep-sea mapping.
It provides a unique 3D view of the entire ship, enabling it to be seen as if the water has been drained.
The hope is that this will shed new light on exactly what happened to the liner, which sank in 1912 - killing 1,500 people. - Aired on 05/17/2023.

(26,925 posts)No food, no water, no safety precautions according to this interview. Yes, they could see the documentaries but rich thrill seekers gotta do their own thing. Joy Reid made a comment tonight about the international efforts to find these people but what about the ferry carrying 700 migrants than sank and only a little over 100 souls made it out alive..what efforts were made for them? That comment said a lot, to me, anyway

(255,546 posts)If you look at what I posted above, it's a real life Titanic experience without the water - and apparently you can see everything. If I was to do it, that would be my choice rather than going to the bottom of the ocean - which is why this "submersible" is in trouble now - it's a long way down there!
