The Hamilton County chapter of Moms for Liberty, a national organization recently listed as an "extremist group" by a civil rights watchdog, apologized Thursday morning after it launched a newsletter called "The Parent Brigade" Wednesday that featured a quote from Adolf Hitler on its front cover.

6. I do wish that pundits -

well, everyone really, but especially pundits and analysts - would stop saying "Right Wing" when what they mean is "Authoritarian."

Left and Right refer to economic theories (and gradations thereof). Whille i concede there is an affinity for right and authoritarianism to go together, and to a lesser extent left and anti-authoritarianism to associate, neither is necessary. Authoritarianism can make common cause with any economic theory, and so can anti-suthoritarianism. Not realizing this can cause people tomake poor chaoices - and i think we have seen pretty blatantly in the last few years how dangeroustthat can be if the people making the poor choices are voters.
