Google the "Ask a Slave" videos by Azie Dungay. She's an actress who played a slave at Mount Vernon. Based on what she heard, the rightwing doesn't have to worry about Americans learning our history.

She does this with humor but it will make you cringe.

Michelle Obama was a man (Trans) and Obama's daughters were adopted.



The crowd shook their heads and laughed.

My mother's family is from Jackson County, FL about 5 miles from Alabama

And sadly, I could see that coming from some people I am related to.

So as an American I'm supposed to feel stupid or suffer from embarrassment because these people claim, yes these are only claims and possibly only opinion, that such things were said to them?

I'm insulted that this was posted here one day after America's day of independence celebration. How about posting "stupid" videos about other countries? Would that be tolerated here on DU??
