And some sites have their own software, like Crooks and Liars.

But I don't consider YouTube a social site, I consider it an informational one, so I have never joined and do not intend to (especially knowing Google owns it.)

I am old enough, heaven knows - 77 (78 in three days). But I can't view it.

Is there a way to download short YouTube videos, say as mp4s, and post them? There probably isn't since we need URLs to post pictures, but I thought I'd ask.

You can download youtube videos by right clicking the video and click on copy video URL. Then use this website to download the video.
