1. We do not need the electoral college

It’s only purpose is to ensure that a miscreant, I’m sorry, a Republican occasionally gets “elected” President. Doesn’t President Gore and President Hillary Clinton have nice rings to them. Republicans don’t win the popular (one citizen, one vote) election because Americans don’t want conservative nazi rule. Those who do want such rules enjoy the socialist perks four years at a time while whining at every social gathering provided to them.

2. And, as I've said before, not only is the Electoral College long outmoded

But no other country in the Western World goes with anything but the popular vote to elect their leaders - the vote "of the people." And they don't understand this archaic system and neither do I. We were certainly denied the most qualified leader more than once just in my lifetime and changed our history for the worse.
