1. Either Trump wants to be imprisoned and

is pushing for it, or he thinks that intimidating a witness in Georgia does not apply to his DC case.

But, he might be gambling that nothing will happen over his attempt at intimidating the Georgia witness. First he would have to be indicted for it in Georgia. But, doesn't innocent until proven guilty mean that he would have to be convicted of the Georgia felony first before DC Judge Chutkan could apply that felony to his terms of release in DC?

So, GA would have to indict Trump, select a jury, and conduct a trial in which Trump gets convicted before Judge Chutkan could revoke his release in the DC case.

How long would that take? Will GA follow through with an indictment and trial?

Trump is gambling that GA will not indict and convict him for witness tampering, or that if GA does, it will take too long to matter.

2. So it's up to Fani Willis whether to seek an indictment for witness tampering.

Witness tampering while on release is a violation of the most important condition of Trump's release.

Namely, not to commit new crimes.
