If I were an independent voter, I would assume that someone used AI to create that haunting statement made by Donald Trump. They should put the date and place where he uttered that the American dream is dead.

In June 2015, from a podium inside Trump Tower in Manhattan, Donald Trump kicked off his presidential campaign by declaring the American dream dead. It was more xenophobia-tinged fearmongering from a man who had spent the previous years questioning President Obama’s place of birth. But he was dead wrong: Obama had rescued the country from the grips of economic upheaval and put America back on course for sustainable growth.

I found other references to campaign speeches where he said the same or similar things but didn't dig down for more dates.

Fucked around in hair bands right out of high school. Then got a two year degree. Hired into Lucent. Bought my dream house and married above my grade. 4 years later, got laid off from Lucent as it imploded. Wanted to get back to music so, took a pay cut and got a non travel job. Started a band. Enjoyed myself. Ended up in a traveling band in my mid 30’z not making much. Ended up back in Telecom as a contractor prior to band ending. Hired into the company I was contracted to and 6 years later, I’m making just shy of 6 figures.

Granted, I’m a white male. But it’s alive and well. I pretty much fucked iff the first 20 of my adult life and now own a Lotus, my dream home, and am married to my best friend. Fuck this asshole!
