It's because he knows he is a lifelong criminal and he wanted to stay in the WH because he was scared that he would FINALLY get caught and end up in jail, so why not keep criming BIG in order to STAY in the WH that's "protecting" him and see if he'll luck that one out TOO?

And he lost by even more millions of votes the second time. He assumes he has a lot more "supporters" than he actually has since he only associates with them.
