was the USFL antitrust suit against the NFL. Trump had convinced the USFL owners they would win a billion dollars from the NFL. The NFL strategy was to make Trump the face of the USFL. It worked. When he testified, the jury hated him. They ruled in favor of the USFL, but only awarded one dollar in damages. One dollar.

Pete Rozelle’s son (Rozelle was NFL Commissioner) was in the courtroom when the verdict came down. He took out his wallet and handed Trump one dollar with a big smile on his face.

Trump won’t testify.

His attorneys have to know that if he testifies, not only will the jury also hate him, but he'll be unable to keep from sounding off and further incriminating himself - as he did in that CNN "town hall."

they can’t ethically help him. They’d just put him on the stand and sit back.
