(258,780 posts)Who steals a cat when there are so many cats who need homes? I sure hope that the family gets their beloved cat back, he must be so confused. I don't let my cat go outdoors, it's too dangerous out there.

(3,159 posts)I'm so glad that mine run away from strangers. They even hide when we have company.

(33,311 posts)Rampant, everything from porch theft and smash and grab to burglary and armed robbery.
How did it get to this? Or does social media just make it more apparent?
Is it time for stronger ass-kicking laws and penalties?

(26,455 posts)and he thought he could sell it? But, without the papers, who would buy it?
Or maybe he or someone he knows wanted a Siamese.
What a scum.

(103,806 posts)He told the other driver that is=t looked just like a friend's cat who went missing recently. I was thinking he thought he was returning a lost cat. What fucking toad, not his business to take this kind of action.
Regardless of why he did it, he stole somebody's cat. Fuckhead.

If his intent was to steal the cat for himself or to try to sell it, telling his coworker that it resembled a friend's cat that was lost would be a good cover. "I'm not stealing this cat. I'm returning it to its owner."

(8,566 posts)I doubt he would have kept it or tried to sell it once he realized it was caught on camera, and that he was likely to lose his job and face charges if he said anything other than, "I returned it." And I don't think he would have strayed from his Amazon delivery route, especially with another driver.
I sure hope I'm wrong, and that the cat is in the neighborhood somewhere, soon to be home.
And I also hope he loses that job and faces criminal charges. WTF.
