DIY videos are helpful, but they are not meant to "socially influence," but actually help. The vacuous, vapid, and superficial/supercilious people putting their grifting narcissism on display--as "influencers" need to be mocked and restrained--not supported.

Just the word "influencer" makes me cringe. We truly live in very strange times, times that produce such phenomena as "influencers". Sometimes it feels like I'm living in a weird, futuristic dystopian movie.

In the late 1990s, Lisa Whelchel, known for her role as Blair Warner on the TV show "The Facts of Life," authored a book called "Creative Correction," which outlined her parenting techniques.

Critics argued that these methods were harsh and potentially harmful to children. The controversy led to debates about appropriate discipline techniques and child-rearing practices.

Personally, I thought that they were abusive. --- It's sad and disturbing to see the same things happening today. It's something that's passed-on from one generation to the next.
