(255,525 posts)I've often wondered how we'd manage without her - and now we won't have to. She has done so much that she deserves a well-earned rest - but, as always, she's putting country first!

It made my day to see her announce her re-election bid! I've been suffering withdrawals since she stepped out of her leadership role. I think she could well help flip the House again and get Jeffries in as Speaker. That's my hope.

(102,793 posts)Be in more of a scary place than we are if she weren't secure in her knowledge and understanding. She's a natural and is on top of any situation without balking... even when we think she is.
There are few in Congress who hold the vast knowledge and understanding of our laws and what they are about because she either crafted or had a role in crafting them since the 1980s. And 30 years on the Intelligence Committee which she helped create.
We need her as much as we ever have at this time, maybe even more.

(3,339 posts)never do without her. Arguably one of the most important domestic legislations in our lifetime. Cant remember if Ted Kennedy was alive and voting at the time but when I think of healthcare legislation I always think of him (sorry showing my ignorance in my excitement!).

(255,525 posts)I'm sure we will never forget her intentionally ripping up TFG's "State of the Union" speech on camera - and her courage and leadership (which we witnessed thanks to her daughter's brilliant film) on January 6th. She is a leader for the ages!
