Serious observation about a b.m.
Woke up this morning, got on the bathroom scale before my morning ritual: 188.6 pounds.
Did my business, weighed myself again: 187.2 pounds. Who knew that could make such a difference?

2. B.M.
LOL I haven't heard that term in years! We used to call 'em "beemers"

4. Try this...
step on the scale and take your measurement.
Step off the scale and stand there for at least 10 seconds. Step back on the scale. I'll bet you the difference in readings is probably 0.5 pounds or so. ![]() |

5. I've noticed that....
I guess it's because my scale is not the most precisely engineered thing in the world.

6. As a former engineer, I know a few things about calibration and how measuring instruments work...
Strain guages and accelerometers can be tricky. If you have one of the typical $20-35 scales on the market, you probably can't expect accuracies better than 3-5%, and that might be generous.

I've almost posted the same OP myself at least twice.
