to new customers. You might want to see if there's another property tax company there, or (and this is fiendishly clever if I do say so myself) sell your property, then buy it back after a month (I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding someone to aid and abet you here) and then go downtown as a brand new customer and ask for the discount.

Let me know if either of these works.

Round up other seniors, the crabbier the better. Make sure a few of them use walkers or canes. Just occupy the offices of the tax company for a few hours, complaining and making comments on everybody and everything you see there, and generally doing all of the things we seniors do so well. I bet it won't take too long for them to understand the reasonableness of your position.
