Hello from the runway at the Atlanta airport.

Major power outage, no planes going in or out. Good thing I have a power outlet at my seat, and some food, and a nice seatmate. This is going to take a while. I don’t think I’ve ever spent the right on a runway.

2. Really? I dont have any information at all.

But I’d much prefer the terminal, where I could walk around. I’ve slept on an airport floor. At least I could lie down. My seat does not recline at all.

3. If you have a connection, flights are being canceled, so maybe you can try and make alternate plans.

Sounds like SOME power has been restored, but far from total.

4. My Delta app has rebooked me to Boston at 7pm.

So they must be expecting resolution today. We’ll see.

6. I hope they are right, but FAA has a "ground stop" issued--meaning flights across the country

enroute to Atlanta are grounded at their originating airports right now. So unless your Boston-bound plane is already in Atlanta, there may be problems. Just saying. I have spent hours on the tarmac during snow a few times. Only good thing was the plane didn't get hot.

5. Atlanta is my most hated airport in the US

And I fly to LAX and IAD a lot.

8. It's not our favorite airport either, BUT

It's the only airport in the southern USA with daily nonstops to Düsseldorf (Delta).

9. I am very fortunate. Got car and hotel.

Rebooked for tonight; plan to walk around downtown Atlanta since I never have, Ive only been through the airport dozens of times. When life gives you lemons...
