When and where will the Its A Wonderful Life marathon happen this year?

Personally, I think the movie should get the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” treatment at some local cinema draft house.

I've tried and failed, miserably. A little too schmaltzy for my taste, but then I'm not much of a Christmas person, anyway.

6. About the best I can do is watch the 1947 version of 'Miracle on 34th Street'

And, of course 'A Christmas Story'. That was my whole family's favorite holiday movie and now that most of them are gone, I use it as a connection and the memories come flooding back. I guess that makes it a successful movie, for me.

Miracle on 34th Street was something I connect to my Grandmother. It seems every time I watched it, as a child, I was at her tiny little house on the east side of Flint. Good times, indeed.

5. It, like much of Frank Capra's stuff, relies on building emotion. The movie is best enjoyed with no

interruptions, commercials, family, etc. Big liberal message too, which is another of Capra's habits.

8. It's weird, but whenever I watch It's A

Wonderful Life, somehow elves throw handfuls of sawdust or sand or something in my eyes. So I avoid it. Sort of.

11. I had heard a lot about it...many years ago..in the 70s..so

I took out a 16 mm version of that film, (no video tape then, yes, I did have a 16 mm projector) ..from the library and watched it. I heard about it, but never seen it..
First time I ever cried from watching a film out of happiness. Wonderful film. Once every couple of years they play it at a local movie theater. I go because although I have seen it a number of times, and I have a copy on disc...I prefer watching a film in a theater which it was made for..
