Tonight I had hot apple & cranberry tea. I bought some eggnog with whiskey, brandy & rum in it for New Year's.

Of course, there's always Irish whiskey in the coffee.

Kind of iconic, but tasty. I prefer w/o cream. Many pile on the whipped cream. Either way is tasty; your personal preference, as is Jameson or Bushmills.

and they don't require coffee and cream with it! Now I'm just looking for a restaurant around here with a decent version; tried one last year, but pretty 'weak.'

Here's one of the recipes behind the paywall:

½ cup heavy cream, cold
1 teaspoon sugar
Vanilla extract, if desired
1 ½ ounces Irish whiskey
6 ounces hot, fresh coffee.

Whip the heavy cream. Add 1/2 teaspoon sugar and a dash of vanilla, if desired, just before the cream starts to form soft peaks. Whip until firm.
Pour the remaining 1/2 teaspoon sugar into a tall ceramic cup.
Add the whiskey, then pour in the coffee to about an inch below the brim.
Apply a generous dollop of whipped cream to the top.

Looks yummy. At -15 F this morning here, I kind of wish I had some Jameson to warm me up.

The snowmobilers are out today, trekking down the road to the national forest. I don't understand how they do it.
Or why!

I just juice up my coffee or hot chocolate with Irish Cream or Kahluha.
