I'm on a boat, Mother Fucker! Take a good, hard look!
My boating days are long gone, but we never forget our past loves!
Mine were all inboards, with the propeller on a shaft through the bottom of the boat, like God intended. No outboards or inboard/outboards for me!
First boat: 1969 Century Cheetah - I bought it used, and yes, Cheetahs were ALL alvacado green and 16 feet long. Original engine: Chevy 327. The burble sound it made was sheer music.
Second: Supra Comp TS6M: My favorite ever. With the curvy lines and a direct-drive Ford 351, this was the most gorgeous boat I had ever seen. Sure, the swooping bow could take on water right over the windshield in large waves, but no boat ever looked better doing that. I could be going 50 mph and just turn the wheel all the way either direction... Most boats would roll and capsize on that move, but this one, with the engine in the middle and mid-hull fins would just pivot as if it that was its signature go-to move.
Last: Malibu Sunsetter, custom ordered from the factory, this one had an open bow, a Calloway Racing Corvette engine, 365 HP. V-drive (engine in the back, but still an inboard). Aft weight creates larger wakes for wakeboarding, which was my thing when i was younger.

Except I don't have the bimini over the aft deck.
I envy you, damn it!

(554 posts)6. Thanks very much!
I love her
And, she is from the age of Chris-Craft's all-fiberglass hulls. No wood coring at all, including the stringers.
Edited for spelling
