Also saw flock of wild birds in distance. Wonder why they wouldn't try to go for them.

(129,722 posts)2. Cougar kittens start hunting on their own at about 6 months.
It's possible mom is still around, watching from a distance. I have no idea how old these guys are.
Here's a video of 6-month-old kittens that look bigger than these but it's hard to tell.
