(43,850 posts)You likely know but its poverty food. Grease, flour and salt, made remarkable by whatever you can get-neck bones, gizzards, poke salet, green tomatoes because youre hongry today, not in June.
Itll kill you but for decadence and if youve got the money to eat high on the hog (I.e. not the feet) its good for special. Pass the fried okra. 😄

On the rare occasion when we exhibit a modicum of self-control, we'll have some goat cheese left over to spread on the warm, crusty bread they bring.
