It's snowing!

I can't remember when it ever snowed so late in the winter here.

I'm livin' the dream: day off, cup of hot coffee, comfortable chair, and looking out the window as the snow comes down...

5. Washington State, where winter is usually more a series of endless rainstorms than snow.

It's already snowed a few times this winter.

3. I'm in northern NJ. The latest date that I can remember it snowing is

April 14 four years ago.

I don't relax until that date and accordingly, I ignore crocuses, daffodils, and fat red robins.

with ice on Wednesday. Winter is not over by a long shot. I'm dreaming of Spring and Robert Mueller to indict Trump.

9. Its snowing in the Willamette Valley. We sure need the moisture.

Driest winter I can remember. Usually it’s raining and dark every day. Nice to have the sun but it makes the summer scary.

So winter tends to last longer.

46 here now, was snow in the area yesterday, (50? miles north of me,) and 66 forecast hi for Wednesday!

24. It's 38 degrees here, and we've had snow flurries.

None of it is sticking, at least not so far. The local Weather Service office and the local t.v. forecasters seem to think that accumulating snow will be confined to elevations above 500 feet. Fine with me! I uncluttered the area near my fireplace so I could sit near it. The wind has been howling in the chimney. It feels so good to be home, looking out at the stormy skies. Need to kick myself out of here and get grocery shopping done, and buy more cat food, but I just can't seem to budge. Weather Service is forecasting frozen roads and black ice. Guess I have to tip my hat to old Punxsutawney Phil. Stay warm, Aristus.

to me that is one of the simple pleasures of life - having the day off when it's snowing or raining
