Excellent! I was most unhappy that they never made a sequel to the movie with William Hurt. nt earthshine Feb 2018 #5
Me and my sons enjoyed the William Hurt movie too. n/t FSogol Feb 2018 #6

Yeah, but to a 4 year old boy in 1968, the robot* was really cool. FSogol Feb 2018 #8

Same plot every week.

* Aliens land near lost in space family.
* Robot waves arms and says, "Danger, DANGER!!!"
* Professor colludes with aliens anyway, putting everybody in mortal peril.
* Little boy saves the day, again.
* Family fails to justifiably murder turncoat Professor yet again.

The only worse program: probably My Mother, the Car
(Either that, or Hee Haw)

I'll give the reboot a try. Even if it isn't great, it'll be some campy-retro fun.

* The robot was voiced by Dick Tufeld, one of the great voice actors of all time

He originated with Forbidden Planet and was only modestly redressed for Lost in Space.

At least FP was based on Shakespeare's The Tempest.

I couldn't stand the Dr. Smith character. What a simpering idiot!!! I don't think I watched more than a couple episodes. I found the plots formulaic and childish.

Sorry.

I watched a few episodes of the original and was quickly bored with it. I liked the first two episodes, but it was just cheesy.
