and to my surprise, way in the back of this huge liquor store, were two shelves of non alcoholic wine . Two brands, Fre and Ariel.
What the hell?? only two brands of non alcoholic wine. Couldnt believe it. Gave up alcohol for lent.

I gave up white wine for Lent, because that's my weakness. I allow myself red, but that's not something I really have often anyhow.

This reminds me of the time my friend and I went into a doughnut shop and asked for sugar free doughnuts. And my friend was aggravated when they said they had not made any.

I've seen (and bought) them in both "red" and white. Aha! They are Welch's!
They even have Star Wars versions:

(23,305 posts)I've found non-alcoholic wines and even "champagne" in larger supermarkets. They're not bad.
O'Douls makes an amber NA beer that's pretty good, too, although I prefer St. Pauli Girl NA.

Non-alcoholic wine = grape juice, or sparkling apple cider.
