Went into our local liquor store, looking for some non alcoholic wine

and to my surprise, way in the back of this huge liquor store, were two shelves of non alcoholic wine . Two brands, Fre and Ariel. What the hell?? only two brands of non alcoholic wine. Couldn’t believe it. Gave up alcohol for lent.

Is there something that tastes like a Chardonnay?

I gave up white wine for Lent, because that's my weakness. I allow myself red, but that's not something I really have often anyhow.

This reminds me of the time my friend and I went into a doughnut shop and asked for sugar free doughnuts. And my friend was aggravated when they said they had not made any.

Usually available around the holiday season for those who don't drink alcohol but do want to toast along with everyone else.

I've seen (and bought) them in both "red" and white. Aha! They are Welch's!

They even have Star Wars versions:

I've found non-alcoholic wines and even "champagne" in larger supermarkets. They're not bad.

O'Douls makes an amber NA beer that's pretty good, too, although I prefer St. Pauli Girl NA.

Martinelli brand. Very cheap and found in most grocery stores in the fruit juice section. Get 2 bottles.

(The last time I went into a liquor store was when Jimmy Carter was president, and I doubt they had "non alcoholic wine" then)

Cheers!
