The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsHaving another Indica evening.
Makes me fly a little, and then I get the best night's sleep possible.
Melatonin and Diphenhydramine have their virtues. But a life-long insomniac can use a little extra...
How are my Lounge people doing tonight?

(9,899 posts)Indica works fine for me, but ambien was far more reliable over all. Since I run hard on an
18-wheeler I dont want to risk using ambien or any of the other hypnotic sleep aids.
Its time I crawl in to my rack. Good night Aristus, and the rest of DU too.

(11,800 posts)Burn one for me will ya? Had to cut back from daily to almost never for new job last year. Did pick up a bag for Christmas though, but none since new years.....
Am enjoying some Jameson Black Barrel however...

(66,329 posts)I'm a life-long non-smoker. The few times I've smoked it, the high wasn't worth the scorched sensation my lungs got. I can't get a bong; too hard to conceal from Mrs. Aristus...
So right now, I'm just working through a series of flavored candies...

(66,329 posts)As it is, the very first time I used, it was at a party with a bong. We all took some hits and then put on Pink Floyd's 'The Wall'.
I don't remember getting very high, and I fell asleep halfway through the movie...

(11,800 posts)No matter what you said to him, his answer was "suck on it." We had done a gig with two brand new guitar players and a new bassist, so I held off till we we're headed home. Figured they'd be great for the ride from Connecticut to Indiana.
I'm handing them out and explaining, "now be careful these things are really potent." I hadn't even finished the sentence and Glenn had swallowed it. Then he went downstairs and ate a huuuuge breakfast. So, we jumped into the two vehicles and headed out.
3 of us in my vehicle had partaken. As I was a professional pothead who worked on a "medicinal" farm, I was fine. One basically passed out for a few hours and couldn't believe how high still was when hecwoke up. My best friend never uttered a word. "How you doing Bob?" "Mmmhmmm" was all he had to say for 8 hours.
I got a call a few hours into it from the bassist. "I don't know what you did to Glen dude, but I've never seen him this fucked up. " I was like, " cmon man. I've seen Glen at his finest (or worst I guess)." He said, "no man I'm serious. Fucker passed out for two hours, woke up and I asked him, How ya doing Glen? He said, my suck on it hurts and he passed back out! "

(130 posts)...the wife enjoyed some OG Kush (pure indica) from the Greenhouse Coffee shop (on the Oudezijds Voorburgwal) to put her to sleep, while I enjoyed some Jack Herer (sativa-leaning hybrid), also from Greenhouse, as well as a very yummy Super Silver Haze (pure sativa) from Katsu's, just behind the Albert Cuyp market, on 1e van der Helsstraat, for my daytime fun. Along the way we went through monstrous amounts of patats (fries) with mayo & curry ketchup, multitudes of different gummy candies, and poffertjes (mini Dutch pancakes smothered in butter and powdered sugar)
