By far, the posts in General Discussion get the most attention.

(18,482 posts)International Woman's Day is a perfectly fine topic. See the TOS for info on which forum is most appropriate for your information. The Lounge is usually for hanging out and doing fun and/or stupid stuff.

(9,948 posts)We Loungians are a friendly but frivolous lot. International Womens Day is an important event and deserves to be in a forum like GD (General Discussion).
Here we post cute, funny, often silly stuff. Anything on the lighter side of life is generally lounge material.
If you want to post a picture of your pet, were your collective Huckleberry!
