To change or not to change (the clocks!)

https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/state/florida-governor-rick-scott-signs-year-round-daylight-saving-time-bill

Florida is just one step away from living up to its nickname as “The Sunshine State."
Florida Governor Rick Scott signed HB 1013 on Friday. The bill would let Florida remain on Daylight Saving Time year round.
The "Sunshine Protection Act," would make Florida exempt from the twice-yearly time change.
While the rest of the Eastern United States would set their clocks back in the fall, Florida wouldn’t, leaving it with more sunshine in the evening during the winter. Northwest Florida is currently in the Central time zone.
The bill still has to be approved by Congress.

Personally, I hate changing clocks, trying to explain to dogs that it's not time to eat, and "losing an hour" somehow.

Pre-daylight savings I get up at 6:30 AM. After changing the clocks forward I get up at 7:30 AM. Clock looks different, but the sun is in the same place in the sky, so who cares what the clock says? I seldom look at clocks anyway.

Although it does start too early and go on too long.

Mid April to the end of September would be ideal.

manage your time by the clock.

The only difference is you have more or less daylight vs darkness.

When lived in Ohio I thought it was great that it was still daylight at 9:00 PM in the summer. Growing up we had long days of making up our own adventures.

Of course I grew up in the 50's when your folks kicked you out of the house in the morning and said to come home when the street lights came on.
