Watching one of those shows where a post-mortem doc analyzes everything and gives an opinion on cause of death.

In his case he was physician and self medicating, Xanax/Valium/Vicodin/Oxycontin and his death is no surprise but based on friends, family, what he was doing at the time, seems like he just fucked up and lost track of what he was taking.

Too bad, that fucking Joker he did was like something nobody has ever done before or since.

2. I always thought it was accidental

It was my understanding he had intractable insomnia and was taking anything and everything to try to sleep. Why he was taking pain killers, I don't know, but he shouldn't have been taking them with Xanak and Valum. The thing that probably killed him though was that he was taking all of those with OTC cold medication. The same combo killed River Phoenix.

3. He was self medicating the cough probably with the opioids, he did have antihistamine on board

for sleep, wasnt aware River did also.

In addition to that he had an even stronger sleeping pill, forgot which one. Clearly he just stopped breathing.

When a person is ill with a cold or flu and they take prescription drugs it is easy to forget if and when they were taken and take them again. I've done it and was just darn lucky I didn't die.
