Any cold weather runners out there?

I finally realized the reason I won't go outside when it's below freezing that I can't breathe the cold air. So, I got a nice soft ski mask to warm the air up. It works fine when I'm walking, but if I push to the point where I'm getting out of breath, I can't move enough air through it. Anybody out there solve this problem?

(Also - how do I keep my glasses from fogging up?)

I dunno. I can't run with mine on. I can barely deal with having things on my face when I'm exercising...or having anything on my feet pretty much ever.

As for the air, no idea...I always feel like I'm dying any time I do cardio in the cold, I just bull through it. It's pretty much why I switch from running in the summers to hiking in the fall to winter distance-sports (tracking, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoing) as it gets colder...also I don't go anywhere without my inhaler. Nothing says "good morning" like keeling over from the ice-cold air 50' into your workout from an asthma attack the first time you take a deep breath.

This may require you to go a little slower at first. Once you start getting warmed up, start taking every 2nd breath in through your mouth. See how that goes.
